2014 Santa Cruz OMG Grand

SOLD  First of all, Wow, this guitar has one of the best Cocobolo back and sides I’ve seen. This is an unusual one – an OM Grand model. As the name suggests, it’s an enlarged OM body shape, with a deeper body. What this gives you is the heft of a dreadnought with the balance of a 000 – it’s quite a thing. It has a strong, dynamic tone, crystal clear highs combined with great depth in the bass. It has quite a unique voice that will cut through any mix. It’s built with high grade Adirondack Spruce and the aforementioned stunning Cocobolo back and sides. All the trimmings are there, Ebony board and bridge, Herringbone binding, open back Waverly tuners, and finished off with a particularly striking tortoise pickguard. The OMG is only made in small numbers from specially selected tone woods, and are quite difficult to find on the second hand market. As a 12 year old guitar, the tone has really opened up, yet it’s in excellent condition, and as you’d expect the playability is great. The guitar has a Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup fitted, and comes in its original deluxe hard case.
