1962 Hofner Thinline – £699

NEW ARRIVAL  Hofner have a long tradition of making fine acoustic and electric archtop guitars at affordable prices, and their thinline electric range is probably their most desirable. Refinished in satin black, and with an upgraded toaster pickup, this example is really eye catching. It looks like a blues / rock ’n’ roll / rockabilly guitar, and with a high gain pickup does the job really well, but is equally capable of handling jazz and swing. The guitar is lightweight and well balanced, and the neck feels very comfortable, with easy action right along the fingerboard.
