1936 Gibson L-00

SOLD  The L00 is probably Gibson’s best know blues guitar, and as their desirability grows, they’re becoming more difficult to find. This is a great example, full of character, vibe, and mojo, with stunning good looks. When you pick the guitar up you soon realise what all the fuss is about – there’s a real bite in the attack, the single note clarity is excellent and the sustain is really impressive. Also it’s very comfortable to play – after years and years of gigging, the chunky V profile neck feels great. The sunburst finish is particularly striking, contrasting with the fire stripe pickguard beautifully. The guitar has a couple of repaired top and side cracks and has been over sprayed. It’s just back from a set up so it plays like a dream and is strong enough to go on for another 89 years. This is a great chance to own a piece of Gibson history – it even comes in it’s original hard case.
