1933 Gibson L-00 – £5999

Oct 2, 2026 | Gibson

NEW ARRIVAL  The L-00 is probably Gibson’s best know blues guitar, and as their desirability grows, they’re becoming more difficult to find. This is an early example, full of character, vibe, and mojo, with stunning good looks. When you pick the guitar up you soon realise what all the fuss is about – the early 30’s L-00’s were built lighter. There’s a real bite in the attack, the single note clarity is excellent and the sustain is really impressive. Also it’s very comfortable to play – after years and years of gigging, the V profile neck feels great. The small sunburst finish is particularly striking, giving the guitar a really moody look. There’s a back crack and a top crack, both tight, and a star shaped mark just below the headstock. It’s just back from a set up so it plays like a dream and is strong enough to go on for another 93 years. This is a great chance to own a piece of Gibson history – it even comes in its original (tatty) hard case.
