1969 Levin LN26 Goliath – £899
NEW ARRIVAL The Levin Goliath was hugely popular in the UK and Europe during the 60’s as this model was played by Pete Townsend and Eric Clapton, among many others. It features a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, with a vivid tobacco sunburst, and distinctive fingerboard markers. Tonally it has real bite in the mid-range, sparkling trebles, as well as great bass response, making it a very versatile guitar – just as comfortable with delicate fingerstyle right through to heavy strumming. These guitars were considered so good, that in 1973 CF Martin brought Levin and gradually stopped production to eliminate the competition. The guitar is in good condition, with plenty of great looking lacquer checking, lots of playwear, and one repaired top crack. It’s great fun to play, with a very comfortable neck, and real vintage tone.
