2019 Keefette Kalamazoo – £1749

NEW ARRIVAL  Hand built in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, this guitar is typical of Keefe guitars excellent craftsmanship. It’s a very interesting model choice – based on a 30’s depression era Kalamazoo KG11, only with X bracing, and a very modern feel and high end finish. The guitar has an Englemann Spruce top with 3 piece Mahogany back and sides, and a 5 piece Figured Cherry and Mahogany neck. The bridge and headstock overlay are the most beautiful Zircote, there’s a ‘Groin’ wood (Oak) fingerboard, Graphtec Ratio machine heads, and an LR Baggs Element pickup. Tonally it’s bright and punchy, with particularly strong mids. There’s an open airiness when strummed, with great detail when fingerpicked, and real bite when flat picked. The guitar’s in excellent condition, with great playability, and comes in a top of the range Renunion Blues case.
