2014 Martin D35 – £1999

NEW ARRIVAL  The D35 was introduced in 1965 as supplies of Brazilian Rosewood were becoming scarce, and the clever people at Martin realised they could make the tonewood go further if they used a 3 piece back….. and so a legend was born. As well as looking very striking, a 3 piece back has two supporting back braces, this allows the top to be braced more lightly, therefore giving greater resonance and a deeper bass response. The guitar still has all the hallmark tone of a classic Spruce / Rosewood dreadnought, but with more detail, expression and clout. This 2014 example has a stunning sunburst finish, and really contrasting Rosewood back panels. It plays really well with a comfortable neck and easy action. The guitar’s in great condition with a repaired top crack, below the pickguard. It comes in its original Martin embossed hard case.

1955 Martin 0-15

SOLD  This is a rare find, there were fewer 0-15’s made than the better known 00-15’s and 00-17’s, and such an early example is very special. The all Mahogany body gives warmth and depth to the woody tone, and the slightly smaller body than a 00 gives this guitar a...
