2011 Atkin 00-M – £2299

NEW ARRIVAL  Over the last five or ten years I’ve had a lot of Atkin guitars, all cleverly mimicking vintage Gibson and Martins. Well this is one of his earlier guitars, when he was designing and building guitars of his own design. His 00-M is a 12 fret Spruce / Mahogany 00 size acoustic. It has classic, clean lines, with Ebony fingerboard and bridge, and open back Grover tuners. The rosette is a double row of tortoiseshell which is really eye catching. The tone is bright and evenly balanced, with even bass, strong mids, and sparkling trebles. The guitar is in good condition, with one area of heavy playwear by the bridge, and great playability. There’s a Fishman Elipse Blend pickup fitted, and the guitar comes in its origin Atkin branded Hiscox hard case.
