2010 Gibson SJ200 Standard Ebony – £3299

NEW ARRIVAL  Just when you think SJ200’s can’t look any better, you find one in Ebony. Not a common finish, Gibson have used it sparingly over the years. It has all the classic hallmarks of the king of the flat tops. AAA grade Spruce top over AAA grade flame Maple back and sides, on a super jumbo body. With the familiar poppy head pickguard and moustache bridge, crown fingerboard inlays and gold grover tuners. It all adds up to a very classy instrument. Tonally it has a resonant, reflective shimmer to the high end and a fatter, warmer presence in the bass and mids that few other models can match. Playability is spot on, just back from a set up. The guitar is in very good condition, although the high gloss black finish does make any marks look worse than they really are. It has a Fishman Elipse Blend pickup system fitted, and comes in it’s original hard case.

NEW ARRIVAL  The J185 often goes under the radar, with the more famous J200 taking all the plaudits for being Gibson’s best known Spruce / Maple jumbo. Well the J185 is essentially a mini jumbo, with Spruce top and highly flamed Maple back and sides. It has its own...

1967 Epiphone Caballero – £1499

NEW ARRIVAL  Epiphones were famously made in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo between 1960 - 1969 after Gibson bought them in 1957. Their model range mirrored Gibson’s, but had more exotic names - the Caballero is the equivalent of a Gibson LG0. It’s a 00 size, all...
