2009 Sexauer FT-15 – £6999

NEW ARRIVAL   Bruce Sexauer is a highly regarded luthier from California. It’s unusual to see one of his guitars for sale in the UK, as his guitars are made to order, usually to customers in the US, and the waiting list is long. His designs are classic, with subtle details that set them apart from the rest. This fine example is an OM size, featuring a light Bearclaw Italian Spruce top with Australian Blackwood back and sides. There’s an Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Rosewood / Maple binding, all topped of with a very distinctive fire stripe pickguard. The tone is rich and detailed, with a full frequency range, and great balance. In fact the complexity is quite beguiling, because you spend as much time listening to the notes bloom, as you do playing them. The guitar is in good condition, with great playability, and moderate play wear. It has an LR Baggs anthem pickup fitted and comes in its original deluxe hard case.
