2004 Martin D-18GE Golden Era 1934

SOLD  Martin’s Golden Era series ran from 2000 – 2016, and represent the best features of instruments in that era, as distinct from being exact reproductions of specific guitars. The Adirondack Spruce top, Big Leaf Mahogany back and sides with forward shifted scalloped “X” bracing are just a few design features that make this guitar sound different to the other D18’s. It’s a very dynamic sounding guitar, play it lightly and it chimes with open airy undertones, put a pick on it and it roars. The bass is powerful without being boomy, and the trebles are strong and pure. Adirondack takes longer to open up, but at 21 years old, this guitars already sounds mature. Other things to mention are the Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Brazilian headstock and open back Waverley tuners – plus the hand signed label by CF Martin IV. The guitar’s in excellent condition, with just a few light marks on the back. It has great playability, and comes in it’s original deluxe hard case.

1955 Martin 0-15 – £3999

NEW ARRIVAL  This is a rare find, there were fewer 0-15’s made than the better known 00-15’s and 00-17’s, and such an early example is very special. The all Mahogany body gives warmth and depth to the woody tone, and the slightly smaller body than a 00 gives this...

2014 Martin Custom Shop 0-28 Cocobolo

SOLD  Martin Custom Shop have produced a very unusual guitar here. As an 0-28 it’s clearly based on a pre 1936 model as it doesn’t have the logo on the headstock, just the Martin stamp on the back. Also the rectangular pyramid bridge and no pickguard would back this...
