2001 Bourgeois Slope D – £3999

NEW ARRIVAL This Bourgeois Slope D has the most spectacular Bear Claw Spruce top I’ve seen, and coupled with beautifully figured Maple back and sides, it really is a power house of a guitar. As well as being beautiful, the Bear Claw has stiffened the top, making it more resonant and dynamic. Combined with Maple, which sweetens the upper mids and lower trebles, it punches a hole in the air, and will cut through any mix. As with all Dana Bourgeois guitars, the top has been tap tuned by hand, so it makes the most of its tonal complexities. Because the top is so eye catching, he’s kept the rest of the looks classic and understated. The bound Ebony neck and headstock are simply done, and the pickguard compliments the overall body shape. As you’d expect the playability is fantastic, the neck is very comfortable, and it’s a joy to play. The guitar is in excellent condition, and has really matured over the last 25 years. It comes in its original deluxe hard case.
