1996 Lowden D22

SOLD  A Lowden dreadnought is quite a rare thing, only made for a few years. On first play it feels like a bit of a hybrid, with Lowden’s famous tone working well for Celtic style, mixed with a traditional dreadnought tone. In fact it delivers something very interesting – a Spruce / Mahogany dreadnought with greater resonance, a full tone and impressive sustain. The focus isn’t just on the bass like a traditional dreadnought, but more complex with lots of shimmering overtones. It works in just about every situation, and handles all playing styles. At 26 years old it also has a real depth and maturity to it’s tone. A really fine guitar, in very good condition – some pick wear on the top – with great playability. It has a K and K soundhole pickup fitted and comes in a non original hard case.
