NEW ARRIVAL The HD28 is a true classic, and feels like it’s been around forever. In fact it was only introduced in 1976, so finding a 70’s model is pretty difficult. Visually the obvious difference between a D28 and an HD28 is the herringbone binding, but that’s only half the story. The internal bracing of an HD28 is scalloped, and therefore allows the top to resonate more. This produces greater resonance and sustain, making the HD28 a more vibrant sounding guitar. Very versatile, a real all rounder, with that extra resonance that lifts it in the mix. As an early example, and at 47 years old, the tone has matured really well, and the guitar is in good, well played condition, quite faded, with great playability. There are two repaired cracks on the back of the neck, either side of the fingerboard, running from just below the nut, to half way along the first fret. It comes in a later Martin hard case.
