2010 Martin D21 Special – £2599

Sep 10, 2026 | Martin

NEW ARRIVAL  The Martin D21 was only produced between 1955 – 1969, and has since become a lesser known model. Essentially a D28 with D18 appointments, but very importantly it has forward shifted scalloped bracing. So every time Martin produce a limited run of D21’s they get snapped up by anyone who wants the extra bass and drive that forward shifted bracing gives. In 2010 Martin produced a special run of D21’s, very similar to the original 50’s model, featuring an Adirondack Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, old style headstock decal, open back tuners, a 1 3/4” nut, and an Ebony pyramid bridge. It has a dynamic drive, and a large frequency response. It would work well in any setting where a powerful acoustic voice is desired. It has excellent definition when flatpicking single notes, and it responds well to a softer attack, making it great for fingerstyle players as well. All in all it’s great all rounder, and at 16 years old, in very good condition. The guitar has a K and K Trinity Pro pickup system fitted, and comes in a Hiscox flight case.

1980 Martin D25K – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  This is one of my favourite Martin models, and quite unusual, only made between 1979 – 1989. It’s a dreadnought with Spruce top and Koa back and sides. Production ended in 1989 because of Koa’s rarity – it’s only grown in Hawaii and therefore in short...

NEW ARRIVAL  Martin Custom Shop have produced a very unusual guitar here. As an 0-28 it’s clearly based on a pre 1936 model as it doesn’t have the logo on the headstock, just the Martin stamp on the back. Also the rectangular pyramid bridge and no pickguard would back...
