1978 Martin D28 – £2999

NEW ARRIVAL  What can you say about a 70’s D28 that hasn’t already been said….. That they represent the most affordable way of getting that Martin tone without the expense of a Brazilian Rosewood model, or that they encapsulate a vintage tone that is immediately recognisable and loved. Whatever you say, this is a great example. It’s a powerhouse of a guitar, with a deep bass, strong midrange, and throaty trebles. The tone is full and rich, and very dynamic. The playability is very comfortable, and really responsive. The Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides are aged really well, with some lovely looking lacquer checking. The guitar is in great condition, with the kind of playwear you’d expect from a 46 year old guitar that’s been played and well looked after. It has an active under saddle pickup fitted and comes in it’s original Martin hard case.
