NEW ARRIVAL Over the years, the D28 has become the best known Spruce / Rosewood dreadnought, a true classic and an icon. It’s sound is pretty much synonymous with late 60’s and early 70’s recordings. Whether it’s classic folk, Americana, country or bluegrass, this 1975 example will take you there – it’s hauntingly reminiscent. It’s the early 70’s examples that are really prized, as they’re the oldest D28’s you can buy without paying 60’s Brazilian Rosewood prices. The guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with a beautifully honeyed top. The back it particularly striking, looking more like Brazilian than Indian Rosewood. The neck feels great and, just back from a neck reset, the playability is fantastic. It’s in original condition other than a replaced pickguard – the original had started to curl up at the edges. The guitar comes in a vintage hard case.
