1973 Martin D28 – £3299

NEW ARRIVAL  Over the years, the D28 has become pretty much the industry standard Spruce / Rosewood dreadnought. It’s been played by countless famous musicians, and features on many classic songs. Early 70’s examples are becoming amongst the most desirable, since prices of the Brazilian Rosewood D28’s from the 60’s and earlier have gone through the roof. This 1973 guitar is a prime example, and has that uncanny feel of a guitar you’ve heard before on so many famous recordings – it has a timeless feel to it, sounds epic and feels effortless to play. The guitar’s in good condition for it’s age, it’s clearly been played a lot, has plenty of lacquer checking, and three surface cracks that don’t go through the wood. The Spruce top has turned a dark honey colour, and the Rosewood back and sides are beautifully figured. The guitar comes in it’s original hard case.
