1968 Gibson Country Western – £3499

Jun 30, 2026 | Gibson

NEW ARRIVAL  What a classic, a 60’s square shouldered Gibson dreadnought with all the deluxe trimmings. A three point pickguard, and eye catching pearl split parallelogram fingerboard inlays on a bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. It’s not just the looks that are classic, the guitar sounds hauntingly like a lot of the old vinyl I listen to – the lazy, mellow strummed sound of Americana. The open chords sound smooth, and single notes chime with beautiful clarity. The bound neck makes it feel very easy to play, with a slimmer 1 9/16” (39mm) neck, and the action is set just right. The guitar is in very good condition, with lots of light playwear, but no cracks or repairs. The guitar comes in a 60’s hard case.

1967 Gibson J50 – £3499

NEW ARRIVAL  This is one of the cleanest 60’s J50’s I seen for a while, with the honeyed top contrasting beautifully with the vivid red pickguard. Tonally it has a very familiar sound, similar to lots of 60’s and 70’s singer songwriter recordings, warm, rich and lush....
