1920’s Galiano Parlour
ON HOLD Galiano was a brand name used in the late 1800s – 1930’s on acoustic guitars made by a variety of builders. Oscar Schmidt was the main producer, although Regal, Harmony and Kay also built under this label, and high end guitars were made by New York Italian Guild around the Little Italy area. This guitar is at the level and style of the Italian Guild. The build quality is quite superior. The Adirondack Spruce top, and Mahogany back and sides are excellent quality The double bound Ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge, bound headstock, and beautiful body binding and rosette are very classy. Unusually for a ladder braced guitar, the tone is open and clear, really detailed with long sustain – a fantastic fingerpicker. The guitar is in excellent condition, with no visible cracks. The playability is very good, the soft V neck feels very comfortable, and the action is just right. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
