1936 Gibson L30 – £1699

Sep 30, 2026 | Gibson

NEW ARRIVAL  By 1936 the Gibson L30 featured sunburst back and sides, rather than plain brown, making it visually more appealing, and this is a beautiful example in a fantastic looking faded tobacco sunburst, with very desirable script logo. The tone is voiced beautifully for blues, jazz and swing, has a very comfortable neck – quite chunky – and a great playing action all the way up the neck. It has the kind of playwear you’d expect from a 90 year old guitar, and lots of great looking lacquer checking. The guitar is in good condition, with a repaired back crack, and just back from a pro refret. This guitar looks, feels and sounds fantastic, and has the kind of vintage vibe that is impossible to replicate in a reissue. It comes in a non original hard case.
