In 2010 Martin produced a special run of D21’s, very similar to the original 50’s model, featuring an Adirondack Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, old style headstock decal, open back tuners, a 1 3/4” nut, and an Ebony pyramid bridge. It has a dynamic drive, and a large frequency response. It would work well in any setting where a powerful acoustic voice is desired. It has excellent definition when flatpicking single notes, and it responds well to a softer attack, making it great for fingerstyle players as well. All in all it’s great all rounder, and at 16 years old, in very good condition. The guitar has a K and K Trinity Pro pickup system fitted, and comes in a Hiscox flight case.
