1967 Epiphone Caballero – £1499

NEW ARRIVAL  Epiphones were famously made in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo between 1960 – 1969 after Gibson bought them in 1957. Their model range mirrored Gibson’s, but had more exotic names – the Caballero is the equivalent of a Gibson LG0. It’s a 00 size, all Mahogany guitar with ladder bracing, featuring tortoiseshell body binding, a distinctive screwed down pickguard, adjustable saddle, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, and distinctive Epiphone headstock. Tonally it has a dry, mellow sound, well balanced and resonant. It works very well for folk, blues and country picking. It also strums really well for a smaller body guitar. It’s in very good condition, with one repaired back crack, and some crackling to the tortoiseshell body binding. The playability is good, with comfortable action, and has the classic late 60’s slimmer neck. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.

1967 Gibson B25

SOLD  The B25 was produced between 1962 - 1977, replacing the better known LG2. It’s quite unusual to find a natural finish example, which contrasts beautifully with the deep red tortoise pickguard. The guitar is an X braced 00 size acoustic, with a Spruce top and...
