2018 Gibson Hummingbird Vintage – £3199

NEW ARRIVAL  Only made between 2014 – 2019 the Hummingbird Vintage is incredibly detailed, a fully hand built recreation of the 1960 original It features a Thermally Aged Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides, Mahogany neck, bound Madagascan Rosewood fingerboard, and genuine hide glue construction throughout. The fingerboard features the original mother-of-pear split parallelogram inlays, with mother-of-pearl used again on the crown headstock inlay, and Kluson-style gold tuners. Luxury touches on the body include 6-ply top binding, 4-ply rear binding, Madagascan Rosewood bridge, with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and a hand-painted and engraved Hummingbird scratchplate. It’s as good looking as it is great sounding. Pure Americana. It strums beautifully, warm and rich, with a deep bass and a real bite in the trebles, it’s hugely versatile. It’s at home with country picking as it is stadium rock – just a classic. The guitar is in excellent condition, with a comfortable feeling neck, and great playability. As a final touch of class, the guitar comes in a period correct hardcase which has a brown tolex finish with a pink fabric interior.
