2015 Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931
SOLD The Martin OM-28 was the first 14 fret flattop 6 string acoustic, produced in 1931. With Martin’s Authentic series, they’ve taken the 1931 blueprint, and been as faithful to the build process as possible. This is Martin’s top of the line OM and it sounds like it. Thanks to the VTS Adirondack Spruce top that is sanded to vintage thickness, Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, all put together using hide glue construction. Tonally it’s the balance through the strings that you really notice, the projection is effortless, yet as you play harder the balance remains equal. It’s hard to explain but its voice, feel, weight, dynamics and playability really do hark back to those history making guitars, but with modern build reliability. It’s almost certainly beyond anything Martin has produced in the post war years. The guitar is in excellent condition, has an LR Baggs HiFi Duet pickup fitted, and comes in it’s original deluxe hard case.
