1966 Gibson J200 – £6499

NEW ARRIVAL  They call the J200 King Of The Flat Tops, and it has to be one of the most famous acoustic guitars in the world, and vintage examples are amongst the most desirable. This is a great guitar, visually it’s stunning, with the iconic scratchplate contrasting beautifully with the faded sunburst. With a Spruce top and a flamed Maple back and sides, this guitar has a bright shimmering tone, which is huge yet balanced, and feels like you’re producing a wall of sound. This is a great sounding example, so full of character, it’s an absolute joy. It’s clearly been played a lot, with it’s share of nicks and dings, plus a pickguard crack, but that’s where the character comes in – you can feel the years of music oozing from it. The guitar comes in it’s very desirable original hard case, that’s clearly travelled the world.
