1964 Gibson LG0 – £1399

NEW ARRIVAL  Gibson’s LG0 is an all Mahogany 00 sized, ladder braced acoustic, similar to the better known LG1 but without the Spruce top. The tone is still dry and woody, but a little smoother sounding, with less attack but more sustain. The guitar is ideal for fingerpicking, lending itself to folk and blues, but strums out pretty well, it’s 60’s vibe shining through. As a 1964 model it has the more desirable wider neck than later 60’s examples, making it a very comfortable guitar to play, and the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard feels very responsive. The guitar is in good condition, with no cracks or repairs, just a fitted Fishman pickup with added volume and tone controls. There is lots of cool looking lacquer checking, and the original plastic bridge is stable but lifting a little. It comes in a non original hard case.
