NEW ARRIVAL Atkin’s Essential series are stripped back guitars on the surface, but exceptionally built and sounding guitars with pre war spec. The Essential D is a fine example of a square shouldered Spruce / Mahogany dreadnought. The North American Sitka Spruce has been torrefied, and has pre war scalloped bracing. The Mahogany back and sides are complimented with a lightweight Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard. The body has the thinnest nitro finish possible, while still protecting the guitar, allowing the guitar to really resonate. The light ageing of the lacquer gives the guitar a played in feel. Altogether it’s a really fine instrument, with great playability and a real cool factor. It comes in its original hard case.
