2019 Gibson Parlour Rosewood – £1749

NEW ARRIVAL  The word Parlour in Gibson’s branding is a little misleading with this model. It’s actually a J165 body size which is closer to an L-00, only curvier in the lower bout. It’s still a very interesting guitar though, and unusual to have Rosewood back and sides on a smaller body. The beautiful cherry sunburst on a cutaway body and mini parallelogram fingerboard inlays give the guitar a unique look. Tonally it’s very impressive too – the Rosewood gives greater attack, clarity and sustain than you’d usually get from a guitar of this size. It’s well balanced and really articulate. The guitar’s in excellent condition, has an LR Baggs VTC pickup system fitted, and comes in it’s original hard case.
