2016 Martin HD28V Centennial – £2699

NEW ARRIVAL  As part of Martin’s Vintage series, this is a painstaking recreation of an HD28 from Martin’s golden era. The forward shifted scallop bracing, Herringbone trim, Ebony fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, vintage style open-geared tuners, and aged toner on top are all signs of Martin’s attention to detail. It produces a big sound, with a prominent bass and evenly balanced mids and trebles. It’s a really dynamic guitar, and very versatile. It works well for all styles, from heavy strumming to flatpicking and fingerstyle. At 9 years old, the tone has already started to mature, and the guitar is in very good condition, just a repair to the body binding on the waist, and a ding on the top corner of the headstock. It has a very comfortable feeling neck, and good playability. As a Centennial model, celebrating 100 years of the dreadnought, it’s a particularly collectable model. The guitar comes in a Martin embossed hard case.
