2012 LARRIVEE D-03 – £1149

NEW ARRIVAL This is a fine example of an excellent Canadian hand made guitar and, even though Jean Larrivee relocated to California in 2001, the 03 series guitars continued to be made in Vancouver until 2013. The Canadian sourced woods on his guitars don’t sound like North American guitars, they have a much more earthy feel to them. This example is from 2012, and with 8 years of play the tone has matured beautifully. It features a Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides, Honduran mahogany neck, and Ebony fingerboard and bridge. This guitar has a big sound, very resonant with excellent sustain – it has great definition and clarity for fingerpicking, and works well for strumming. The guitar is in good condition, with the right amount of playwear to tell you that the guitar has been played and loved in equal amounts. The neck feels great and the action is just right. It comes in it’s original embossed hard case.
