NEW ARRIVAL TJ Baden was a VP at Taylor guitars for 17 years. With all this experience, in 2006 he decided to set up Baden guitars as he wanted to make a select line of guitars with no frills, but concentrate on build quality and choice tone woods. Baden guitars are constructed at the Ayers factory in Vietnam, hand-built from start to finish using all solid woods, with six French master luthiers overseeing the entire operation. This example is from Baden’s A line series, which has a very distinctive asymmetrical body shape. It features a Cedar top with Kanzo Mahogany back and sides, Ebony fingerboard, Rosewood bridge, and bone nut and saddle. Although the guitar is 17 years old, with only minimal playwear, it still has a very modern feel – really responsive and balanced, with great playability. It has an LR Baggs Anthem pickup fitted with tone and volume controls mounted inside the sound hole, and comes in its original hard case.
