NEW ARRIVAL If the J200 is King of the Flat Tops, then surely the Guild JF65-12 is King of the 12 Strings. It must be one of the most recognisable 12 string acoustics out there. With Guild’s beautifully designed jumbo body with Spruce top and Flame Maple back and sides, and the eye catching fingerboard inlays, it really is top of the Guild 12 string range. As you’d expect the tone is huge, bright and full bodied – well balanced, with enough bass to drive through, strong mids and sweet trebles. This guitar is 23 years old, and has really been played, adding character and a more mature tone than you’d expect. There’s a play wear patch below the soundhole, and plenty of pick wear above. The neck feels great in then left hand, and the action is comfortable. The guitar originally had a two pickup system fitted. One has been removed and plugged, and the original Fishman Matrix system remains. It comes in its original Guild branded hard case.
