1981 Daion Mugen Junior – £699

NEW ARRIVAL  As with a lot of late 70’s and early 80’s Japanese made guitars, many people are becoming aware of the high quality compared with affordability. Only produced between 1978 – 1982, Daion acoustics are already achieving cult status, not just for their build quality and tone, but also for their striking good looks. The Mugen is a classic dreadnought body shape with Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, and a very distinctive tortoise pickguard, The guitar has a deep and resonant tone, the bass is full, mids are rich and trebles are detailed. The story is that Daion went out of business because they put such high quality components on their guitars that they became too expensive to build….. This guitar certainly feels far more expensive than the price would suggest. It’s in very good condition, with good playability, and comes in a vintage hard case.
