1974 Guild F40 – £1799

NEW ARRIVAL  Guild have become synonymous with jumbo acoustic guitars, and the F40 is a fine example with Spruce top and arched Maple back and sides. The bound fingerboard with block inlays really make the guitar eye catching, and the classic Guild headstock, pickguard and bridge make it instantly recognisable. The tone is big and bright, filling the sound spectrum, and cutting through any mix. Plus the 50 odd years of play mean the sound has opened up beautifully, with a real maturity and complexity. The guitar is in good condition for it’s age, with great playability. There’s one repaired top crack, and plenty of scrapes and dings. The previous owner used two pickups on stage, both of which have been removed, so there are two blank end pin jacks. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
