1969 Gibson Hummingbird

SOLD  This is one of the best sounding Hummingbirds I’ve had for quite a while, and visually it has to be my favourite model. The cherry sunburst is beautifully faded, with fantastic looking lacquer checking, and the Mahogany back and sides are well figured. This guitar has all the unmistakable characteristics of a 60’s Gibson dreadnought which makes them sound so familiar, hauntingly reminiscent of so many of the great 60’s recordings. The bound neck makes it feel very easy to play, the action is set just right, and unlike a lot of late 60’s examples the neck is quite full feeling. The guitar is in very good condition, with no cracks or repairs, just a few dings and light scratches and good honest playwear. The guitar has a transducer pickup fitted and comes in a modern Lifton hard case.
