1965 Gibson LG1

SOLD  This 1965 LG1 is a great example of one of the most popular ladder braced Gibsons, with authentic tone that no modern guitar can come close to. Visually it’s just what you’d want from a vintage Gibson, with an unmistakable dark tobacco sunburst, and beautiful tortoise pickguard. Tonally it’s bright and punchy, but with added depth in the bass – the ladder bracing adds quick attack. The guitar’s is in great condition, with no cracks or repairs, just the very common replaced Rosewood bridge (the original would have been plastic). Interestingly, one of the previous owners had their name etched into the back of the headstock. The guitar has a very playable neck – not skinny like later 60’s examples – and comfortable action. It comes in a non original hard case.

NEW ARRIVAL  Here we have another example of Gibson Custom Shop being a bit too cool for school. I mean, a Les Paul Custom inspired J45, surely it doesn’t get much more rock ’n’ roll….. It’s the classic Spruce / Mahogany slope shouldered dreadnought that’s made Gibson...

1935 Gibson L-00 – £4499

NEW ARRIVAL  The L-00 is probably Gibson’s most desirable pre war acoustic, and they’re becoming more difficult to find. This is an old warhorse of a guitar, and has the scars to prove it – although there are no top or back cracks, there are bullet entry and exit...

1961 Gibson Country Western

SOLD  1961 is the last year the Country Western had the very desirable slope shoulder body  - by 1962 it had changed to a square shoulder body with a 3 point pickguard. This gives the guitar an altogether richer sound with greater sustain, but still has that classic...
