1960’s Knight Jumbo Santos Brazilian Rosewood – £2799

NEW ARRIVAL  Dick Knight has gained a real cult following amongst guitar enthusiasts. In the UK during the 60’s and 70’s he gained a reputation for being the luthier to the stars – Pete Townsend and Jimmy Page being his most famous endorsees. This guitar is a fine example of his work – a jumbo bodied acoustic with a really striking bridge and pickguard. It features a Sitka Spruce top with stunning Santos Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. There’s a bound Ebony fingerboard with classic block inlays, his traditional oversized headstock, and carved volute. The guitar really packs a punch, with a deep bass, strong mids and biting trebles. The neck feels very comfortable, and the playability is excellent. There’s some sinking of the top around the soundhole, but nothing that’s a structural issue. The guitars comes in a non original hard case.
