1960’s Harmony Sovereign H1270 12 String – £599
NEW ARRIVAL Only available from 1958 – 1971 the Harmony Sovereign is one of the most iconic 12 string acoustic guitars in rock history – famously played by Pete Townsend on the Tommy album, he bought the guitar trying to emulate the 12 string sound of Leadbelly. It’s unusual to find a US made 60’s acoustic for this price. Made from all solid woods, with a Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, the guitar has a bright sound with a lovely bass response. The neck has a great feel, and the comfortable action makes it great fun to play. The guitar is in good condition for it’s age, with no top or back cracks, just a few rim repairs. The neck starts to buzz when you get to the 12th fret – but most 12 string players don’t go up the dusty end….. This guitar represents real vintage tone at a price you wouldn’t expect, and has its place in rock ’n’ roll history.
