1957 Gibson LG2 3/4

SOLD  This is a great example of a very hard to find model only made between 1949 and 1962, the model famously played by Arlo Guthry. As a 3/4 size guitar it doesn’t have a huge bass response, but this allows the guitar to excel around the mid and treble ranges, and it has enough bark to really punch out those bluesy solos. It has a slim 1 9/16″ neck, which makes it an ideal guitar for someone with smaller hands, and a very easy playing action. It’s in very good condition for a 66 year old guitar, with one repaired back crack, and lots of lacquer checking. The guitar records very well, particularly when close miked, as there are no unwanted bass overtones, and has a fantastic vintage vibe. This would also make the ultimate travel guitar. It comes in it’s original hard case.
