1929 Gibson L-1 – £4499

NEW ARRIVAL  Only made between 1926 – 1931 as a flat top with circular lower bout, this has to be one of the rarest Gibson models around – and arguably the most important. This L-1 is a 00 size, H braced guitar, and only 12 frets to the body which changes the whole feel of the guitar. Built incredibly lightly, this is one of the most resonant guitars I’ve played, and a fingerpicker’s dream. The volume for such a small guitar is quite amazing, and the balance is very even. The guitar has been restored by luthier Graham Parker, and he has done a fantastic job – his attention to detail, and sensitivity are very impressive. There are numerous crack repairs, a narrow back insert, and some distortion to the top around the soundhole, yet it feels strong, and not the kind of guitar you have to handle with kid gloves. This is a great example of a guitar that you just don’t want to put down, it has warmth and depth in it’s tone, and a great feeling neck. It comes in a non original hard case.

1967 Gibson B25 – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  The B25 was produced between 1962 - 1977, replacing the better known LG2. It’s quite unusual to find a natural finish example, which contrasts beautifully with the deep red tortoise pickguard. The guitar is an X braced 00 size acoustic, with a Spruce top...

1946 Gibson L48 – £1999

NEW ARRIVAL  1946, one year after Banner Gibson’s were produced, is the only year Gibson produced guitars with the large Script logo without the Banner. By 1947 the more familiar squared logo came into production. 1946 is also the first year of production of the L48,...
