2001 Gibson J150
NEW ARRIVAL
This is the next best thing to a J200 at a much more affordable
price - a stripped down version with an unbound neck and headstock.
Visually it's beautiful, very distinctive looking as the top has
turned a rich honey colour - quite unusual for a modern guitar. In
it's 11 years it's clearly been played a lot - there is a
noticeable wear patch just below the scratchplate - and the tone
has benefited from this, with quite a mature sound, greater depth
than a newer model. When strummed it has a room filling sound, yet
when fingerpicked it has great clarity on individual notes. It's a
pleasure to play this guitar, the neck is very comfortable and the
action is just right. Made in Montana, and has an active
undersaddle pickup, and comes in it's original Gibson embossed hard
case.
