NEW ARRIVAL
This is a great example of one of the most iconic vintage Gibson
acoustic guitars - a square shouldered dreadnought with the classic
vintage Gibson vibe, a beautiful bound neck with split
parallelogram inlays, and possibly the most distinctive of all
Gibson scratchplates. With a faded cherry burst finish Spruce top
and Mahogany back and sides this guitar has a depth and richness to
it's tone that is just inspirational to play. It's proof that 60's
Hummingbirds are amongst the most desirable of all acoustic
guitars. This guitar is for the player - battered and bruised, like
a diamond in the rough - but what a player. It feels like it's been
played every day of it's 47 years, with great feel and real
character. There are a couple of repaired cracks, so I've had my
luthier check them out and he confirms that the guitar is
structurally sound and good to go for another 47 years. This guitar
has a very comfortable neck and, just back from a pro set up, has a
great playing action making it a very difficult guitar to put down.
It also comes in it's original hard case.
