1959 Hofner President
NEW ARRIVAL
Hofner guitars have become very collectable, and represent a great
way of buying a cool vintage archtop without paying a high price.
The President is the top of the range model above the Congress and
Senator - a sign of this is the binding on the body and neck,
inside the f-holes and on the headstock. Also back in 1959 the
President was made from solid woods, not laminates. This example is
in excellent condition, all original apart from upgraded
Bareknuckle P90 pickups, the guitar has also had a neck set meaning
the action is good all the way along the fingerboard. It has a
great tone, the front pickup voiced well for blues, jazz and swing,
while the back pickup is more rocky with plenty of bite. It comes
in a non original, hard case.
