NEW ARRIVAL
1964 is the first year of issue of the F212 made in the Hoboken,
New Jersey factory, making it quite a rare find - and for a 47 year
old guitar it's in good condition. Guild are famous for making make
the best 12 string guitars around, and this is no exception. It's a
mini jumbo which makes it very comfortable to play, yet still has a
big enough body to allow all 12 strings to really resonate.
Unusually for a 12 string acoustic it has a Spruce top and Mahogany
back and sides, rather than the traditional Maple, this gives the
guitar a warmer sound than you'd expect, but it still packs a
punch. The guitar has aged really beautifully over it's 47 years,
the top turning a deep honey colour, with just a few scratches and
dings here and there, and the playing action is just right, making
it very easy to play. It's all original with one repaired top crack
by the pickguard, and one unrepaired back crack. Also the top has
sunken around the soundhole, something very common on older 12
strings, but has been reinforced from inside making it feel very
strong. The guitar comes in it's original hard case.
