NEW ARRIVAL This guitar is a real beauty, and in amazing condition for a 107 year old guitar. it's a rare example of an arch top guitar with a central sound hole. Tonally it's voiced for blues and jazz - this is the predecessor to the flat top L1 that Robert Johnson famously played - and if you want to recreate that Robert Johnson or Leadbelly growl then this guitar gets you close. The feel of the guitar is just great - it really is like holding a piece of history, yet it plays superbly well, and it's still structurally very strong so you don't feel like you have to handle it with kid gloves. In fact, very unusually for a guitar of this age, it has no cracks or repairs - just a refinish that was done in 1978, so even that has vintage vibe. Whether you're a collector or a player, this guitar is a true example of an overused expression - it has real Mojo. The guitar even comes in it’s original hard case, also in surprisingly good condition.
