2017 Gibson J35 – £1599

NEW ARRIVAL  Introduced in 1936 the J-35 was the predecessor to the iconic J-45, until production stopped during World War II. Other than the occasional limited edition, Gibson resurrected the J-35 as a full production model in 2012. It follows the original specs, from the slope-shoulder dreadnought body featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, with Pre-War ’30s-style scalloped X-bracing, to the ’40s era tigerstripe pickguard, rectangular bridge, and Banner headstock logo. The result is a guitar with outstanding projection and tonal character. It has a rich voice that cuts through without being overpowering, yet the ability to handle delicate fingerpicking, with a smooth low end response. The guitar is in excellent condition with great playability. It features an L.R. Baggs Element onboard pickup, and comes it it’s original Gibson embossed hard case.
