2016 Patrick Eggle Linville Gareth Pearson – £1849
NEW ARRIVAL Already well known for his electric guitars, Patrick James Eggle turned his hand to top quality acoustics, and fast became a highly sought after UK acoustic luthier, the quality of his guitars being likened to Lowden, Fylde and Brook. He recently stopped building acoustics in his own name, making his used guitars very collectable. The classic combination of Spruce and Mahogany on an OM body gives this guitar a warm, rich tone, with quite a complex overall sound. Plus the satin finish allows the guitar to really resonate, producing lovely sustain. Visually this guitar has classic good looks, with an Abalone rosette and snowflake fingerboard inlays adding a touch of class. Plus the Ebony fingerboard and bridge, and bone nut and saddle really add to the playing experience. It feels like a future classic, and the classy looks make it stand out against it’s modern equivalents. At 5 years old the guitar’s in very good condition, but already has a played in feel. The guitar has an AER AK30 pickup mounted and comes in it’s original Hiscox flight case.
