2012 Martin HD28E Retro – £2499

SOLD  The HD28 is considered to be a step up from a standard D28, with Ebony fingerboard and bridge, scalloped bracing and Herringbone trim. The scalloped bracing make this guitar very lively, the top resonating more than a standard D28. It produces a big sound, with a prominent bass but even mids and trebles. Working well for all styles, from flat picking and strumming through to fingerstyle and lead lines. It handles just about everything you throw at it. It has Martin’s Retro styling, including an aged toner on the Spruce top, a silkscreen headstock logo, butterbean tuners, and a 30’s style Ebony bridge. It also has a Fishman F1 Aura pickup system, which reproduces the studio-mic’d sound of several hand selected ‘Golden Era’ models taken from the Martin museum. So altogether head turning looks and tone, plus exceptional plugged in versatility. The guitar is in very good condition, just a couple of nicks in the body binding, with a very comfortable neck and easy playing action. It comes in it’s original hard case.

1967 Martin 000-18 – £3499

NEW ARRIVAL  Martins of this age are pretty difficult to find, and this 56 year old example is excellent - one of the most surprising guitars I've played in quite a while. It works very well with fingerstyle play, well balanced and articulate, but also for strumming...

2006 Martin 000M – £799
