2008 Martin HD28V – £2599
SOLD As part of Martin’s Vintage series, this is a painstaking recreation of an HD28 from Martin’s golden era. The forward shifted scallop bracing, Herringbone trim, Ebony fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, vintage style open-geared tuners, and aged toner on top are all signs of Martin’s attention to detail. It produces a big sound, with a prominent bass but even mids and trebles. It’s a very dynamic guitar, and very versatile. It works well for all styles, from heavy strumming to flatpicking and fingerstyle. At 15 years old, the tone has already started to mature, and the guitar is in very good condition, just one noticeable ding on the top, with a very comfortable feeling neck. It comes in a Martin embossed hard case.
